Blog: Describe in this blog as vivid detail as possible your favorite sound. The most pleasing sound you can imagine. Bring to class next week a recording of this sound or whatever object(s) needed to produce this sound to share with the class.
Deliverables for all exercises and projects: I will need these in CD format. Two copies of everything for two separate archives. Week 11 along with final (also two copies).
For class next week: Bring everything you need to work on the final project in class. I want to see the work in progress. Plan on showing the space(s) you are creating sounds for graphically as part of your project. I will bring project samples.
Off you go.

Now, I know this is going to sound super corny but it's the first thing that came to mind, so it's about all there is to it! I love the 8/16 bit old game music. Such as the Super Mario Bros. theme song. I'm sure you all know that. I love the simplicity and 'catchyness' of it all. It's just one of those very easily recognizable songs. I believe the 8/16 bit era can be considered sounds and not just songs. =]
Hope that was good enough ><
That is good enough. Track down a sample for us to enjoy in class on Thursday together.

This is very difficult. I don't know what the most pleasing sound to me would be. I remember the old wind chimes at my grandmothers place were always pleasing to hear while I was there visiting her. So since that is the first thing that pops in my head I'm going with that. I'll try and track down some wind chime noises for class.
It is super hard to describe the sound they would produce since it is just from my memory, but the words elegant and grace come to mind. How the wind would gently blow and create such simple but very pleasing sounds. (Now who is the corny one?)
Contrary to Jason.. this is too easy for me hahahahaha
For me the sound of a piano is the best thing for me. Whenever I listen to classical piano is like i'm taken to another world! relax! Plus with piano you can express so many different emotions with the each key.
It's true,
Piano is a very emotional media. Out of all of the instruments it is indeed my favorite.
