Find articles relating to the subject. Find tutorials you can use in class next week to build one. Do you have a website? Get access to your school provided one if you don't, so that you can create an actual podcast for your own use.

Does this website relate? What do you think about it? It launched this past November. What are its pros and cons?

Assignments from class:

In Class Exercise/Complete for Homework

Remix Your Own

Part One Description: Sample four different songs and process them together to sound as unique as possible from the original songs. The final track that you create should be a minimum of 3 minutes in length. The original four samples do not have to be the only sound sources used for this exercise.

Part Two Description: Record four random sounds and process them together to sound completely unrelated to the original sounds. No evidence of any of the four sounds should be apparent in the final render.

And a heads up: for this exercise and all others you do for the class that involve audio recording, processing, playback etc. create a CD of all your work to turn in along with the final project on Week 11.

Read Cross-cultural article answer the following questions and place in the
drop off:
1. Which of the tips for improving cross-cultural communication do you
perceive to be a potential threat to our structured design process in sound
design?
2. Describe a potential worst-case scenario involving this issue in your class
project. THIS ARTICLE IS IN THE DROP OFF FOR WEEK 6

IF YOU HAVE NOT ANSWERED THE DMCA QUESTIONS AND PLACED IN THE DROP OFF YET. YOU ARE LATE. HARDCOPIES TO ME ARE ALSO ACCEPTABLE.

Off you go.

First off I start with a breif article of what podcasting is:
Click Me!

This page goes over what the does and dont's of podcasting to some of the more popular technologies.

Podcasting has become an internet phenomenon. about 5 years ago it was still something that was unheard of and now its hard to find a large scales site that does not have some sort of podcasting element built right in. Take CNN for example. The news network used to be only "TV", now they are all over the internet with sidebar adds and Google adds, they have tried to expand into every field of media.

Thats what I have realized about podcasts

Post on friday!!

Article.

This was actually posted a mere 4 hours before I found it, talk about up to date! The article basically introduces podcasts and podcasting to anyone that has yet to hear of it. It states how you can find everything from technology to comedy to technology based comedy podcasts. It is a whole new form of entertainment media and has done nothing but grown.

And here is my tutorial for class.

Tutorial.

Well instead of being up to date like Tabitha, I found one 3 years ago!

What is Podcasting?

This article.. is actually, an article AND a tutorial! talk about convienece, right?

The author of this article explains how to record, edit, publish, encode...basically everything! when creating a podcast.

I remember a podcast site that I had a LOOOOOOOONG time ago.. Chris may remember it. he was in that class with me. We had to create a podcast website, I'll see if I can find it.

But anyways back to the article, although is old, the information is really good and interesting, plus the author makes sure that you don't have to spend a single dime! when creating podcasts.

Is a good read.
