My mistake gang. I forgot to initiate the posting so that the class could respond. If you guys are reading this in time go ahead and post your research. No reflection on you all. We'll get a better start in the second post.
I had a hard time as well, but I found one pretty interesting. The article talks about a program named Magix Music Maker....but searching around I got a glimpse of the screen shot.. and it looks SO CLOSE to Guitar Band... reading on the article I found that it has most of the same features that Guitar Band has, but the only difference is that the program works on Windows. The program lets you record, edit, and they even have an online catalog built in to the program that lets you download music samples and loops in order to use them with the program. However, the program costs $78.95.. BUT! I looked around download.com and they have a "Basic Edition" which has most of the features of the deluxe version.. except that is COMPLETELY FREE!
Because of the short notice caused by my tardiness, I won't hold the semi-retarded accountable for difficulty on this one. We'll do better on the next.
Good find though Joel. That's one we will want to look at in class.
