Much like last week, I wrote down key points as I went. But this article itself, is a list and description of key points. But in summary, the article gives you tips and pointers on how to best present your proposal to your client. I'm not completely sure if this was the kind of article you were looking for, but I found it was informative.
When presenting a verbal proposal you'll want to plan everything out ahead of time. Know exactly what you want to say, just like any speech. A good tactic is knowing the client's competition. Find things that the competition don't have, that you can help your client to gain and flourish on. Another great concept to use is "under-promise and over-deliver." If you over-promise things to your client, but can't get them done, it will look bad on you and they won't reccommend you to others. Over-delivering could never be a bad thing.
In terms of a written proposal, start off with a bang. Have a very interesting opening to attract the client's attention. Be sure to be clear and concise with your thoughts, the fewer words the better. And keep in mind "a proposal is a communication between one human being and another."

I looked around and I found a little sample of what it could be a proposal for an audio design. Since our project deals with creating sounds for a room/space I tried to find something related to ambient sounds and what the article explained was the proposed solution for the creation of a bridge on Oakville Ontario, Canada. They had a solution on which the bridge would still be stable but do not compete with the visibility and experience for the tourist that go visit the river. Also the bridge was designed so that the sound could flow through it, therefore enhancing the experience of the tourist, because not only the get to see the river they also get to hear the sounds of nature in the area.
Now when reading what Tabitha wrote, when presenting a proposal there could be a million ways to do it, but from what I've learned in other classes that I have gotten, if you are giving a verbal proposal is more like a "pitch" to see how the client reacts to the idea, but in a written proposal, everything that the "developer" wants to present must be detailed and also have explanations on how his/her work is going to help the client.
Here is the PDF that I found about the River:

Ok after much adue, I decided to look into how to write an effective design proposal and what information should be included in that proposal. Because knowing what a proposal is is of little to no use without knowing how to write one effectively.
SO tha being said this artical goes over the different parts of a solid design proposal from tthe front page to Copyright Statement ,Executive Summary,Current Situation,Target Audience,
Project Goals,Creative Strategy,
Technical Strategy,Implementation Process,Client consultation and Project ,Design direction and development,Prototype,Implementation
Development Budget,Definitions,Fee Schedule,Development Schedule,Conclusion,Team Biographies,Contact Details,
Case Studies,Check your spelling
File formats, Covering letter.
So that being said there is a lot of good info.
